About the Sapphire Coast Golf School (SCGS)

We were both born and bred in the country and moved to the city for our successful jobs.  Eventually the temptation to work for ourselves grew stronger, especially as we were no longer enjoying the hectic pace of city living.  We’ve always loved the beautiful South Coast of New South Wales and had become familiar with it over the years as it has some great golf courses, on which we've even played several ALPG Pro–Am series.  (Loraine had several victories during that time, no wonder she enjoys playing golf on the South Coast!)

Creating the SCGS has been a source of constant enjoyment, as we love helping people achieve their personal goals.  We’re able to achieve this as we offer a variety of lessons to people from all walks of life, ages and abilities.  It’s also wonderful to be able to offer the juniors in the district an opportunity to learn how to play golf – just like we did growing up in the country.

The Eden Gardens Country Club (EGCC) is a perfect location for the SCGS, as another important thing for us was to have easy access to the golf course for on course lessons.  Quite often range lessons go really well and as soon as you get out on the golf course, it all changes.  There are many more things to consider when you get out and play golf – you’ve learnt the technique – now you need to learn which shots to play where, and work on managing your way around the golf course.  The EGCC allows the SCGS to have the best of both worlds – the ability to work on the driving range, short game area and on course play – all at affordable prices.

We hope to see you out on the golf course soon.

Happy golfing!

Year One PGA Trainee Professional

LisaI am excited to given the opportunity to become a professional golfer and starting my PGA traineeship!

Playing golf is always what I've wanted to do and the PGA provides me with a very high standard of education, which will enable me to have a career in golf after playing on tour.

The PGA traineeship covers all aspects of golf, business management, tuition, club repair and rules. These skills will teach me how to become a successful coach and in time, run a business.

One of the great thrills that come with working with Sapphire Coast Golf School is teaching the juniors, watching them grow and progress with their game, and mostly the enjoyment they get out at hitting golf balls.

Besides becoming a full member of the PGA, I also wish to become a playing professional with a detailed coaching background, as well as one day taking on a Golf Club and settling down somewhere as a Club Pro.

I look forward to catching up with you when you visit Sapphire Coast Golf School.

Brad
